CONSTRUCTION BOARD OF APPEALS AND REVIEW UPDATE

Representatives from the Construction Board of Appeals and Review will discuss the Board’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations. (ACTION ITEM)

JAPANESE SISTER CITIES SUBCOMMITTEE UPDATE

Representatives from the Japanese Sister Cities Subcommittee will discuss the Committee’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations. (ACTION ITEM)
4.

DIGITAL PLAN SUBMITTAL AND RETENTION PROGRAM—BUILDING DEPARTMENT

The Building Department is requesting Council consideration to allow budget authority to fund the purchase of hardware and software for processing building plan submissions electronically and storing plans in digital format. (ACTION ITEM)

PROPOSED CHILD CARE CODE CHAPTER 5.28 CHANGES

The Police Department is requesting Council consideration to change City Code Chapter 5.28: Childcare—Sections 5.28.030(H) License Required; 5.28.060(B, C & D) Background Checks; 5.28.110(H) Safe Sleep; and 5.28.130(B) Training Requirements. (ACTION ITEM)

RECYCLING UPDATE

Sanitation staff members and Rick Gillihan, representing Western Recycling, will be giving an update on the current status of recycling services and how it affects the city-wide recycling program. (ACTION ITEM)
7.

AID FOR FRIENDS

Aid For Friends representatives will be present to update the Council on a new homeless shelter project. Idaho Housing and Finance Association has selected the project as a community investment and is willing to contribute funding toward it. (ACTION ITEM)
