The Pocatello Fire Department is ringing the bell for volunteers for its Home Fire Preparedness Program.
The department along with the American Red Cross and local partners will be installing free smoke alarms for Pocatello residents Saturday, November 7, 2015. Currently, volunteers are needed to be part of the advance teams, logistics support, alarm installers, and disaster safety educators.
“We need volunteers of all kinds for the program,” said Kim Stouse Community Relations/ Education Specialist for the Pocatello Fire Department. “Preparation for the event starts with the advance teams who go talk to residents about the program and continues on to the disaster safety educators who teach residents what to do during an emergency.”
