The Pocatello Fire Department has officially added another member to its ranks.
Friday at Fire Station #2, Assistant Chief Michael Williams presented Tony Catt with his badge and nameplate; making him the newest member of the Pocatello Fire Department. The graduation and swearing in ceremony marks the culmination of both written and practical examinations for Firefighter Catt.
“Tony has a good attitude and a true desire to serve this community,” said Assistant Chief Williams. “Combine those attributes with his years of experience and he makes a great addition to our department.”
Catt comes to Pocatello after also serving with the Blackfoot and Fort Hall Fire Departments. It’s a career he actually began even before leaving high school when he volunteered with the Moscow Fire Department his junior year.
“Public service is something that has always appealed to me so firefighting is a natural fit,” Catt said. “I’m very excited to be joining such a professional and highly trained group.”
