A third roundtrip Delta flight will be returning to the Pocatello Regional Airport during the week, beginning March 2, 2016.
The additional Delta Connection service, operated by SkyWest Airlines, will significantly increase daily service between Pocatello Regional Airport and Salt Lake City International Airport.
“We are beyond thrilled with the news,” said David Allen, Pocatello Regional Airport Manager. “That is a 46% increase to our weekly flights and available seats. We’re glad to see the airlines responding to the demand for more flights to and from the Gate City. We’d also like to thank the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce Air Service Committee for their efforts to network with regional business leaders. Their work to ensure businesses are aware of the benefits of flying from Pocatello helped increase the demand.”
Travelers can begin booking the newly scheduled flight December 26. Weekday departures are currently scheduled for 7 a.m., 12:25 p.m., and 6:15 p.m. Meanwhile, arrivals will be at 11:58 a.m., 5:50 p.m. and 10:45 p.m. The new schedule will offer three daily flights each weekday and twice-daily service Saturdays and Sundays.
“The more evenly distributed schedule will make travel from Pocatello much more convenient,” Allen said.
The announcement comes a week after Pocatello Regional Airport was named the sixth best airport in the nation by online trip calculator Travelmath.
“Check our new schedule and compare our fares. Then take a look at the true cost of driving to Salt Lake City in time and money at iFlyPocatello.com and see if flying from Pocatello is right for you,” said Allen.
