The Portneuf River Vision Study continues to move forward and now officials are asking for another round of input from residents.
Pocatellans are requested to select their two favorite short and long-term projects they would like to see completed on the river. The scope of the projects vary and they include adding bicycle and pedestrian bridges at points along the river, to streambank restoration, access points, up to the creation of a riverfront shopping area and more.
“We’ve been able to take the ideas and suggestions we received over the winter and turn those thoughts into potential projects,” said Hannah Sanger, Science and Environment Division Manager. “Residents can choose from over 40 short term and long-term ideas and also leave their comments on why they selected the project they did.”
You can find the survey at river.pocatello.us/comment and comments will be taken through June.
Those wishing to give their feedback in person can do so at an open house that will be held May 10 from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Pocatello Community Charter School. Residents can also email their comments to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Pocatello Community Charter School is accessible to persons with disabilities. Program access accommodations may be provided with three (3) days’ advance notice by contacting Dave Hunt at email@example.com; 208.234.6248 or 5815 South 5th Avenue, Pocatello, ID.
