Ross Park Aquatic Complex Modifies Facility Schedule

Ross Park Aquatic Complex

Pocatello’s Ross Park Aquatic Complex will be modifying its schedule for the final two weeks of the 2016 season. Due to much of the staff returning to school, the Ross Park Aquatic Complex will be closed to public open swimming weekdays starting Monday, August 22. However, the facility will offer lap swimming during the week from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the main pool. The complex will be open for all on the Saturdays and Sundays of the final two weekends, as well Labor Day, Monday September 5, from noon to 8 p.m. “We understand that some will be disappointed by the change in hours and we apologize for any inconvenience this may cause,” said Stacie VanKirk, Ross Park Aquatic Complex Manager. “All but one of the staff members will be going back to either high school, college, or another educational pursuit and it is unfeasible for us to hire and train such a large workforce for ten days.” Residents with questions about the modified schedule are invited to contact the City of Pocatello’s Parks and Recreation Department staff at 232-3901.
