First “Coffee with the Mayor” to be held August 18

Pocatello

Residents who’d like to sit down and bend the ear of Pocatello Mayor Brian Blad will now get a chance. This month marks the start of a new meeting series with Pocatellans called “Coffee with the Mayor.” The first hour-long chat will begin August 18 at 9:30 a.m. at McKinley Manor, 1020 McKinley Avenue. “I’m hoping to bring City government, and my office specifically, to people who otherwise don’t have access to City Hall,” said Mayor Blad. “I want to hear their comments, concerns and questions and hopefully be able to provide them with some answers.” The first meeting is being sponsored by Idaho Power. Next month, “Coffee with the Mayor” moves to Portneuf Towers, 666 West Day Street, September 20 at 9:30 a.m. and in October the meeting will be held at Christensen Court, 711 North 6th Avenue, on the 25th at 9 a.m.
