Water Main Replacement Begins Next Week for Ebony, Dogwood, and Cypress Streets

Starting next week, crews with the City of Pocatello Water Department will begin replacing the water main along Ebony, Dogwood, and Cypress Streets. Work is scheduled to begin the Monday, August 15 and be completed in three phases starting with Cypress Street. Following completion of work on Cypress Street, crews will move on to Dogwood Street and finish up with Ebony Street. Along with replacing the water main, workers will also be installing new meter boxes at each residence. The project is anticipated to last roughly 10 weeks and during the project, sections of the street will be closed. Parking will be restricted and residents are asked to park all vehicles away from the construction zone during the day. However, every effort will be made to provide local access to homes when possible. The project will also cause temporary disruptions to water service and residents in and around the construction zone are encouraged to keep a supply of drinking water available. Officials apologize for any inconvenience the project may cause. Due to unforeseen circumstances the work schedule may be altered. Residents with questions about this or any other Water Department projects are invited to call 234-6182.
