Pocatello Animal Services Partners with Simply Cats Adoption Center

Pocatello Animal Services

More cats will be finding their forever homes thanks to a new partnership. Recently, Pocatello Animal Services and Simply Cats Adoption Center entered into an agreement that will allow the Boise-based facility to accept adoptable cats and kittens from the Pocatello Animal Shelter. “This partnership aligns perfectly with our mission and we consistently have an overabundance of cats,” said Richard Stewart, Animal Services Director for the City of Pocatello. “By relocating these cats over to Idaho’s largest metropolitan area, these animals are more likely to go to a permanent home.” Under the arrangement, Simply Cats will take in animals as space is available at their facility. The facility is a select-admission and cageless adoption center. The center will also utilize the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals’ Meet your Match program to increase the likelihood of long term adoptions of adult cats. “I’d like to thank Simply Cats for their willingness to help,” Stewart said. “More animals go to their forever homes and we free up space to take in more of Pocatello’s animals. It’s a win-win partnership.” For more information on Pocatello Animal Services or to view adoptable pets, visit For more information on Simple Cats Adoption Center, visit
