Entrepreneur Input Wanted on Business Registration and Licensing

The City of Pocatello Planning & Development Services Department is looking for input from local business owners. Officials are considering business registration and licensing for establishments in the Gate City and are asking entrepreneurs to answer questions about their organization. This month, staff sent 340 letters to random business owners in Pocatello, inviting them to complete the questionnaire. “The survey will help us get some very basic statistics such as number of employees and how long the business has been in operation, as well as opinions on business registration and licensing,” said Terri Neu, Assistant Planner. After the information is collected, it will be presented to the Pocatello City Council. The Councilmembers will then direct City staff how to proceed. The survey takes less than five minutes to complete. Business owners who did not receive a letter but would like to take the survey can do so at The survey will close November 17.
