The City of Pocatello Water Department will return to a winter work schedule Monday, October 24. The hours of operation will be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., five days per week, Monday through Friday. Employees have been working ten-hour days, four days per week throughout the summer to allow them to take advantage of longer daylight hours and to coordinate their work schedules with construction contractors. The return to eight-hour days will permit better utilization of the shorter daylight hours during fall and winter months. Water Department emergency personnel are on-duty from 3:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. weekdays and from 8:00 a.m. until midnight on weekends and holidays and are on-call for the balance of the off-duty hours.
