Tour of Lights Set for Dec. 15 and 16

Pocatello Regional Transit Tour of Lights

If you want to see the area’s best of the best when it comes to holiday décor, you’ll get your chance later this month.

At 7 p.m. on Thursday, December 15 and Friday, December 16, residents are invited to ride with Pocatello Regional Transit (PRT) for their 29th Annual Tour of Lights. The two-hour jaunt around Pocatello and Chubbuck showcases the two cities’ residents who do their best to get in touch with their inner Clark Griswold.

“The reason we’ve been able to put on this tour for nearly 30 years is because of the spectacular job that residents do decorating their homes,” said Dave Hunt, Director of Pocatello Regional Transit. “From carolers stationed at homes to people handing out candy to riders, we’ve seen it all.”

Tickets are $5 for adults, $3.50 for children ages 8 and younger, and free for toddlers who are able to sit on a parent or guardians lap. Tickets can be purchased at PRT’s Transit Center, 5815 South 5th Avenue, and must be purchased at least one day prior to the desired day.

“Some years we have sold out so I would encourage everyone to get their tickets early,” Hunt said.

The tour will also accommodate groups and special arrangements can be made by contacting Pocatello Regional Transit at 234-ABUS (2287) or via email at prt@pocatello.us.
