Pocatello Animal Services Offers Discounted Adoptions for Holidays

Pocatello Animal Services

If you’re thinking of welcoming a new furry member of the family into your home for the holidays, now’s the time.

Through the month of December, Pocatello Animal Services is offering discounted pricing to adopt a pet from the shelter. Dogs can be adopted for $70 while cats are $25 for one and two for $35. The lower prices are possible thanks to The Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter picking up the remainder of the adoption cost.

“We’d like to thank Friends for their continued support in helping to find homes for these animals,” said Richard Stewart, Animals Services Director.

Included in an adoption are vaccinations, microchip implant, City license, collar, and more. The adoption process takes between 15 and 30 minutes. During the adoption, potential pet owners are screened by shelter staff to help ensure the animal will be a good fit in the new home and the necessary paperwork is filled out.
