If the preschooler in your life has a case of spring fever, Zoo Idaho has the cure.
Starting May 4 and running every Thursday during the month, the zoo will be hosting Zoo-4-Tots. The weekly themed program for preschoolers (ages two through five) features a short story, activity, and up-close encounter with one of the Zoo Idaho’s resident animals.
“We’re excited to bring the wonders of animals to some of Zoo Idaho’s youngest visitors,” said Rachael Shearouse, Curator of Education. “For example, during two of the sessions, we’ll be showing children what it is like to live as an ant and how the world looks different when you are the size of a button.”
The cost to participate in Zoo-4-Tots is $8 for the general public and includes admission for one parent/caregiver and one child. For Pocatello Zoological Society members, admission is $7 for one parent/caregiver and one child. In both cases, it is an additional $2 for each additional person in the same family.
Parents and guardians can register children by contacting zoo staff at 208-234-6264.
