Registration Open for Zoo Idaho Summer Camps

If your child is looking for something do to this summer, Zoo Idaho has the answer.

This summer, the zoo will be hosting a series of half-day and full-day camps for children ages 5-13. The camps will include games, crafts, presentations, stories and more, which teach children about animals, the zoo, and wildlife conservation.

“We have something for every child,” said Rachael Shearouse, Curator of Education at Zoo Idaho. “For example, during one half-day camp the children will step into the role of zookeeper and learn about the importance of enrichment and play for Zoo Idaho’s animals.”

Attendees are required to register in advance of the camps.

Half-day camps are $65 for the public and $55.25 for Zoo Idaho Zoological Society members per session. A $10 discount is offered for each additional child enrolled who is a member of the same family. Full-day camps are $125 per child for the public and $106.25 per child for Zoo Idaho Society members per session. A $15 discount is offered for each additional child enrolled who is a member of the same family. To receive the discount, registration must be done in person at the Zoo Idaho Administration Building at 3101 Avenue of the Chiefs or by phone at 208-234-6264.
