City of Pocatello Offices to Close for Eclipse, Sanitation Service Delayed by One Day

Generic3

Due to the anticipated increase in traffic and other issues associated with the eclipse, City of Pocatello offices will be closed Monday, August 21. The City will resume normal operations and all non-essential personnel are to return to work Tuesday, August 22.

All Sanitation service will be delayed by a day as well. Residents are asked to place their garbage and recycling autocarts out a day later than their normally scheduled pickup day. For example, residents with a Monday pickup are asked to place their autocart out on Tuesday and autocarts must be placed at the curb by 7 a.m. to guarantee pickup.

The delay will not affect yard waste collection on Wednesday and Thursday.

Pocatello Regional Transit will not operate services on August 21 with the exception of the Preston Logan Commuter/CETC routes which will run as scheduled.
