Spirits, superheroes, as well as ghastly creatures of all stripes will be on the prowl at Zoo Idaho Saturday, October 28.From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., the zoo will be hosting its annual “Zoo Boo” event. The special day at Zoo Idaho will let trick or treaters get an early start on filling their candy quotas for 2017 while experiencing the zoo’s animals.“This year’s Zoo Boo is bigger and spookier than ever,” said Rachael Shearouse, Curator of Education at Zoo Idaho. “We have more than 20 vendors that will be handing out candy and providing fun Halloween activities for our guests. For example, trick or treaters will be able to take a walk through the bear graveyard, frolic in the vampire lair, and stop by Little Red Riding Hood’s forest. We have a variety of activities scheduled for all ages.”Attendees will be treated to live music by the Teton Shadow Band from noon to 2 p.m. Also on tap will be a haunted treehouse, Mad Science Lab and booths from local merchants and organizations. Food will be available for purchase from The Sand Trap.Admission to Zoo Boo is free for children 2 and under, as well as Zoo Idaho Zoological Society members, $3.75 for ages 3 to 11, $5.75 for ages 12 and up, and $4.50 for ages 60 and up.For more information on Zoo Idaho, visit zooidaho.org.###
