Street Operations, Water Departments Return to Five-Day Work Schedule

GenericAlt6LINK

Monday, November 6 crews with the City of Pocatello Street Operations and Water Departments will make the switch to their winter work schedule.

The hours will be 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. Employees have been working ten-hour days, four days per week throughout the summer to allow them to coordinate their work schedules with construction contractors and to take advantage of longer daylight hours. The return to eight-hour days will permit better utilization of the shorter daylight hours during the fall and winter months.

For street related emergencies either on the weekend or after hours, calls should be made to the Pocatello Police Dispatch Center at 208-234-6100. Dispatchers will then notify the on-call Street Operations Department personnel. For water related emergencies, staff can be reached by calling the after-hours phone number at 208-234-6181.

Residents with questions about the switch are invited to contact the Street Operations Department at 208-234-6250 or the Water Department at 208-234-6174.
