The City of Pocatello is currently using the 2009 International Building Code, 2009 International Residential Code, 2006 Uniform Plumbing Code, 2006 International Mechanical Code, 2009 International Fire Code, and the 2008 National Electrical Code. Once you have your permit and need an inspection call the inspection line answering machine at 208-234-6275. If a morning inspection is desired call the inspection line before 7:30 a.m. If an afternoon inspection is desired call before 1:00 p.m. When calling give the type of inspection is needed, permit number, property address, and time of inspection. If a Certificate of Occupancy is needed, please give at least 24 - hours notice. If further assistance is needed call the office at 208-234-6158.
