Every year city departments are required to present a performance report to the Mayor, City Council and citizen stakeholders (Service Level Report). Under the supervision of the Chief Financial Officer, the departments discuss their mission, financial inputs, workload outputs, measures of efficiency & effectiveness (including comparisons to other cities & industry norms), results and their issues and concerns for the future. |

| Overgrown weeds becoming a fire hazard? |
City ordinances require that weed growth in non-lawn areas must be kept at less than twelve inches (12”) in height. Noxious weeds, as defined by the State must be completely eradicated. Click here to report a code violation to the Pocatello Police Department. |

| Fire Prevention Activities |
The Pocatello Fire Department has an Open House in May of each year. Open House activities include a Junior Fire Academy to let the youngsters know what it's like to be a firefighter. Other activities include station tours for grade schoolers, and visits by Sparky the Fire Dog upon request. We also have an educational Smoke Trailer, complete with kitchen and bedroom, where students can learn about kitchen safety and how to escape from their bedroom during a fire. |

| What is the ISO Public Protection Class rating for Pocatello? |
Pocatello's ISO PPC Rating is 3. How is that rating figured? ISO collects information on municipal fire-protection efforts in communities throughout the United States. In each of those communities, ISO analyzes the relevant data and assigns a Public Protection Classification from 1 to 10. Class 1 represents exemplary public protection, and Class 10 indicates that the area's fire-suppression program doesn't meet ISO's minimum criteria.
