DEPARTMENT OF PARKS AND RECREATION ADMINSTRATION


The Pocatello Parks & Recreation (P&R) department is one of the largest and most active units of the City of Pocatello. The span of the P&R department's oversight is broad including several facilities from the Community Recreation Center to the Ross Park Aquatic Center, to all of the City's 25 parks, to many outdoor and team sports programs.  ADMINISTRATION

The Parks and Recreation Department strives to serve the Pocatello community with quality recreation programs, well maintained parks, trails, and beautiful open spaces. Our aim is to help provide opportunities, activities and the facilities to bring pleasure to people's lives.

 PARKS

 RECREATION

The Recreation division of the P&R Department provides recreational opportunities and facilities that serve community desires and identified needs. Recreation is a large division that consists of several components including: Team Sports, Outdoor Recreation, the Community Recreation Center, Ross Park Aquatic Complex, the municipal Golf Courses and Fort Hall Replica. The P&R Administration is responsible for City of Pocatello's two Cemeteries: Mountain View and Restlawn.

Pocatello Zoo

Dating back to 1932 the Pocatello Zoo is a city treasure. The zoo offers a host a great family and educational activities and features animals indigenous to the Intermountain West.The Zoo is open from April through October. Click here for more information.
