NORDIC CENTER SPECIAL EVENTS

SKI FOR FREE DAY - ***POSTPONED DUE TO POOR CONDITIONS***

The annual Ski for Free Day at the East Mink Creek Nordic Center is postponed due to poor snow conditions.

“The snow pack is as bad as anyone can remember in the 15 years at this location.  There is no way we can put beginners out on the trails.”  outdoor supervisor Lance Clark said.

The trails will not be staffed until a significant storm comes through the area and drops at least 5 inches of snow.  The trails remain open through self serve fees boxes to intrepid users who want to brave the hazards.

“We will wait for a storm, give a few weeks notice and hold a free day later this year.”  Clark said.  “This is our biggest annual event and we want everyone to know we are dedicated to affordable trail access.” PLEASE CHECK BACK FOR INFORMATION AND UPDATES ON CONDITIONS.

 SKATE DAY - JANUARY 28, 2012

Learn to skate ski with half price rentals and free mini lessons. The trails will be groomed out especially for skate lessons and staff will be available to help you get started.
