E-WASTE RECYCLING PROGRAM
The City has contracted with PC Recyclers of Idaho to help citizens dispose of their electronic waste free-of-charge. What is electronic waste? It is electronic equipment that is obsolete or no longer working. This type of equipment contains pollution and toxic materials that can leach out and into the environment.
Items accepted through the City's E-Wate program include:
Computer monitors (residential customers only) |
Computers, keyboards and mice
Printers, scanners and fax machines
Point of sale equipment
Telephones
Cell/wireless phones
Cabling
PC Recyclers of Idaho is unable to accept televisions, photocopiers or black & white monitors at this time.
Participants can be assured that all hard drives will be wiped clean of any data. 100% of all hard drives received by PC Recyclers are either run through a data destroying process or physically destroyed. This ensures all customers that their personal and confidential material is safe when left with PC Recyclers.
