Police Entry Level Exam Notification
The deadline for the 2016 Entry Level Exam has passed. All individuals interested in employment as a police officer with the City of Pocatello are required to take and score a minimum of 70% on the Entry Level Exam. The exam, held annually, establishes an eligible register in rank order of exam scores. The eligible register is then used to hire new police officers for a period of 1 year (unless the list is exhausted prior to that date). If you wish to be notified of the next Entry Level Exam please fill out the Police Entry Level Exam Notification Form.
Lateral Entry Officers: Candidates who meet the qualifications for a lateral entry position, are not required to take the entry level exam. Applications for Lateral Entry positions will be accepted on a continual basis.
To help prepare for the Police Officer Entry-Level exam, you may purchase a study guide from Public Safety Compass. Purchase of the guide is completely voluntary. If purchased, the study guide may only be used for advanced preparation and will not be allowed in the examination facility.
