Representatives from the Pocatello Development Authority (PDA) will discuss the PDA’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations.

CITY OF AMERICAN FALLS—TRAIL CONSTRUCTION PROJECT

Mayor Marc Beitia, City of American Falls; and FFA representatives will present information regarding the construction of a proposed trail from Seagull Bay to Massacre Rocks State Park. Mr. Beitia is seeking Council support regarding the proposed trail. (ACTION ITEM)

GBS HEALTH BENEFITS FOR CITY EMPLOYEES UPDATE

GBS representatives will be on site to provide suggestions that need to be made to improve processes to reduce costs long term and suggestions of possible policy changes to help maintain health benefit levels. (ACTION ITEM)

FIRE UNION QUARTERLY UPDATE

Members of the Pocatello Fire Union will give the Council an update of their activities for the past quarter.

REGIONAL ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF EASTERN IDAHO (REDI) UPDATE

Dana Kirkham, Chief Executive Officer, Regional Economic Development of Eastern Idaho (REDI) will be present to give an update of REDI’s activities and achievements. (ACTION ITEM)

IDAHO GOLD STAR FAMILIES MEMORIAL MONUMENT

Idaho Gold Star Families Memorial Monument Committee members and other representatives will share their vision and proposed options for a Memorial Monument to be placed on future City owned property in the Northgate Development. The Committee will provide Council with information on the proposed project and are seeking any other input and/or direction the Council may have. (ACTION ITEM)

FORE GOLF—REIMBURSEMENT REQUEST

John Banks, Parks and Recreation Director will discuss current billing status and a revised reimbursement request for FORE Golf in the amount of $28,801.90. FORE Golf was awarded the Concession Agreement for the City’s Golf Courses on October 15, 2015. (ACTION ITEM)

TELECOMMUNICATIONS FUNDING PROPOSAL

Pocatello Police Department staff is seeking Council’s support to present information to the Bannock County Commissioners regarding the existing Intergovernmental Agreement for the Ambulance District. Specifically referring to the funding of one-third of the telecommunications center staff as outlined in the agreement. (ACTION ITEM)

PATROL VEHICLE PER OFFICER PLAN

Pocatello Police Department staff is seeking Council’s direction regarding a proposed Vehicle Per Officer Plan. Staff will outline the options, long-term effects and response to calls for service under the proposed plan. If Council so chooses, a Master Lease Agreement with The Bancorp to assist with the Plan will be considered at a future meeting. (ACTION ITEM)
