AMERICAN FALLS FFA AG ISSUES TEAM PRESENTATION

Representatives from the American Falls Future Farmers of America (FFA) AG Issues Team will give a presentation on the following topic: Driving Privilege Permits for Undocumented Residents.

ANIMAL SHELTER ADVISORY BOARD UPDATE

Representatives from the Animal Shelter Advisory Board will discuss the Board’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations. (ACTION ITEM)

CHILD CARE ADVISORY COMMITTEE UPDATE

Representatives from the Child Care Advisory Committee will discuss the Committee’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations. (ACTION ITEM)
5.

POLICE UNION QUARTERLY UPDATE

Members of the Pocatello Police Union will give the Council an update of their activities for the past quarter. (ACTION ITEM)
6.

ELECTRONIC BILL PRESENTMENT AND PAYMENT PLATFORM UPDATE

Information Technology and Finance Department staff will update the Council on their process to replace the City’s current merchant service provider, Heartland, and on-line bill payment system, Click2Gov. Staff recommends a new Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment Platform to reduce transaction costs, enhance cybersecurity and provide a more user friendly interface. (ACTION ITEM)

ELECTRONIC TIMEKEEPING SYSTEM AND SEASONAL EMPLOYEES UPDATE

Human Resources staff will be present to provide Council with an update on the electronic timekeeping system and to discuss the cost to add seasonal employees to the system. (ACTION ITEM)

FEMA GRANT REQUESTS – FIRE DEPARTMENT

Fire Department staff will be present to discuss the following FEMA grants and to seek Council approval to apply for the grants. If the grants are awarded, Fire Department staff will submit an agenda request asking Council to accept the grant(s). (ACTION ITEM)

a) RADIO PURCHASE: Assistance to Firefighters Grant application to purchase 75 portable handheld radios and equipment. The “regional” grant will include seven (7) other regional fire agencies. Pocatello Fire Department will be the host agency and responsible for acquisition and distribution of funds.

b) PARAMEDIC TRAINING: Assistance to Firefighters Grant to train and license approximately eight (8) Firefighter/Emergency Medical Technicians to the level of Paramedic. FEMA has identified this category of training as High Priority.
