CONSTRUCTION BOARD OF APPEALS AND REVIEW UPDATE

Representatives from the Construction Board of Appeals and Review will discuss the Board’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations. (ACTION ITEM)

CDBG ADVISORY COMMITTEE UPDATE

Representatives from the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) Advisory Committee will discuss the Committee’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations. (ACTION ITEM)
4.

ZOO IDAHO—REVISED 20-YEAR MASTER PLAN

Parks and Recreation staff will be present to review the final draft version of a revised 20-year Master Plan for Zoo Idaho and to seek Council input and direction regarding the plan. (ACTION ITEM)

PROPOSAL TO USE CITY-OWNED BUILDING AT 429 WASHINGTON STREET FOR BIG MOMMA’S HOUSE ADMINISTRATIVE OFFICES

Big Momma’s House representatives will be present to review their proposal to utilize the City owned building at 429 Washington Street currently used by Pocatello Free Clinic.  Pocatello Free Clinic is moving into a new facility in May 2019 and Big Momma’s House representatives would like to use the vacated building for their Administrative Offices.  (ACTION ITEM)

244 WEST CENTER STREET (MONARCH BUILDING) UPDATE

Endurance Home Investments, LLC, owners of the Monarch Building located at 244 West Center Street, will be present to provide a structure integrity analysis which will include a timeframe for the completion of the project to the City Council as requested by City Council at their January 10, 2019 Work Session.  (ACTION ITEM)

PATROL VEHICLE PER POLICE OFFICER UPDATE

Pocatello Police Department staff is requesting Council guidance to move forward with the lease/purchase of twenty-one (21) fully equipped patrol vehicles.  There are several options that staff would like to review to fund the vehicles purchase.

CITY EMPLOYEE BENEFITS UPDATE FOR EAP AND DELTA DENTAL RENEWAL

Heather Buchanan, Human Resources Director, and Laura Judkins, Human Resources Benefits and Compliance Coordinator, will give an update on Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and Delta Dental renewals for Fiscal Year 2020.  Staff is seeking Council direction regarding the renewals.  (ACTION ITEM)

CITY’S COMPENSATION CONSULTANTS UPDATE

Human Resources staff will give an update regarding the City’s compensation consultants.  The City’s current consulting group (BDPA) is retiring.  Staff would like to share compensation history and their search process toward identifying a new consulting group for the City. (ACTION ITEM)
