POLICE UNION QUARTERLY UPDATE

Members of the Pocatello Police Union will give the Council an update of their activities for the past quarter.

HUMAN RELATIONS ADVISORY COMMITTEE UPDATE

Representatives from the Human Relations Advisory Committee will discuss the Committee’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations.  (ACTION ITEM)

4.

POCATELLO IWAMIZAWA SISTER CITIES FOUNDATION UPDATE

Representatives from the Pocatello Iwamizawa Sister Cities Foundation will give the Council an update of their activities.  (ACTION ITEM)

5.

BRADY CHAPEL RESTORATION UPDATE

Planning and Development Services staff and representatives of the Friends of the Brady Chapel, LTD will be present to discuss and seek Council direction regarding funding options for the restoration of the Brady Chapel utilizing $65,000.00 of funds from the Façade Improvement Program.  (ACTION ITEM)

POCATELLO SIGN CODE REVISIONS

Planning and Development Services staff will be in attendance to discuss proposed changes to the City’s sign code.  (ACTION ITEM)

HIGHWAY POND OXBOW GRANT – SCIENCE AND ENVIRONMENT

Public Works staff members will present information to the Council regarding submission of a $5,000,000.00 grant application to the National Fish and Wildlife Federation.  The City of Pocatello would be a subcontractor to the Idaho Department of Lands (IDL).  Council will be asked to ratify a letter of support to IDL at the August 4, 2022 Regular Council meeting.  The City match commitment is 10%, of which 2.5% will be a cash match.  If awarded, matching funds will be sought through external funding sources.  (ACTION ITEM)

FISCAL YEAR BUDGET DISCUSSION

Council will consider the Fiscal Year 2023 Budget and discuss recommendations to prepare the budget amounts necessary to meet notice requirements for the August 4, 2022 public hearing.  (ACTION ITEM)
