HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION UPDATE

Representatives from the Historic Preservation Commission will discuss the Commission’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations. (ACTION ITEM)

PLANNING AND ZONING COMMISSION UPDATE

Representatives from the Planning and Zoning Commission will discuss the Commission’s goals and projects, as well as Council’s policies and expectations. (ACTION ITEM)
4.

NORTH POCATELLO TEST WELLS UPDATE

Representatives from both the Engineering and Water Departments will present an update to the Council regarding the North Pocatello Test Well Project. (ACTION ITEM)

PORTNEUF VALLEY COMMUNITY ACCESS PRESENTATION

Representatives from Portneuf Valley Community Access (PVCA) will give a presentation regarding their desire to take over community access responsibilities once the City’s Video Services Department is closed on September 30, 2018. PVCA is in the process of establishing non-profit status and will be available to answer Council’s questions or concerns regarding the organization and give an update on PVCA’s goals for the community. (ACTION ITEM)

STATUS OF GREYHOUND BUS DEPOT

Planning and Development Services Staff and representatives from Old Town Pocatello, Inc. will be present to discuss the status of the Greyhound Bus Depot. (ACTION ITEM)
7.

PROPOSED BACKGROUND CHECK PROCESS FOR CITY EMPLOYEES

Human Resources, Legal Department, and Parks Department staff will present information to Council regarding background checks for potential employees and volunteers of various City of Pocatello departments. Staff is seeking Council’s guidance regarding their preferred scope of background checks for individuals. (ACTION ITEM)
8.

GOLF CONCESSION AGREEMENT—REQUEST TO RE-NEGOTIATE FINANCIAL TERMS

Parks and Recreation staff will be joined by FORE Golf Representatives to review the current status of golf operations and volume of play at the City’s Highland and Riverside Golf Courses, and to request Council permission to re-negotiate the financial obligation terms of FORE Golf for the remainder of the Concession Agreement term. (ACTION ITEM)

ROSS PARK AQUATICS COMPLEX—REQUEST TO CONSTRUCT NEW CONCESSIONS BUILDING

Parks and Recreation staff will be in attendance to review the current status of food and beverage concessions at the Ross Park Aquatics Complex and to present a proposal for development of a new concessions facility for Council’s consideration and direction. (ACTION ITEM)

ADDITIONAL PROPOSED FISCAL YEAR 2018 SEPTEMBER BUDGET AMENDMENTS

Finance Department staff will present detailed information on additional proposed Fiscal Year 2018 September budget amendments. A public hearing to review the proposed amendments will be held on September 20, 2018. (ACTION ITEM)
