Marshall Public Library Highlights Work of Grammy Nominated Artist Tori Amos

The Tori Amos display at the Marshall Public Library.

The work of an eight-time Grammy nominee will be highlighted at the Marshall Public Library.

From now through June 30, Library Page Rebecca Ayre’s personal collection of Tori Amos memorabilia will be on display at the library. The exhibit will showcase rare CDs and vinyl albums from Amos as well as photos, autographs, and fan tributes to her work. In addition to her acclaimed musical career, Amos has been part of the Rape Abuse & Incest National Network (RAINN) and served as the organization’s first spokesperson. The group “is the nation's largest anti-sexual violence organization” and “operates the National Sexual Assault Hotline in partnership with more than 1,000 local sexual assault service providers across the country.”

“I’m excited to share my love for Tori and her music as well as RAINN with our community,” said Rebecca. “Her work with RAINN has inspired me and many others throughout the years to speak about sexual assault and violence.”

The display is on the second floor of the library through the end of June and items related to Amos’ music and activism will be available for checkout from the library.

If you have an idea for a future display at the library, contact Jen Hawkins, Library Specialist, at 208-232-1263 ext. 106 or via email at jhawkins@marshallpl.org.

The Marshall Public Library is accessible to persons with disabilities. Program access accommodations may be provided with three (3) days’ advance notice by contacting Skyler Beebe at sbeebe@pocatello.us; 208.234.6248; or 5815 South 5th Avenue, Pocatello, ID.
