East Gould Street/U.S. Highway 30 railroad crossing

East Gould Street/U.S. Highway 30 from Yellowstone Avenue to McKinley Avenue will be closed Saturday, June 8 and Sunday, June 9 to allow for repairs to the railroad crossing.

Crews from the City of Pocatello Street Operations Department and Union Pacific Railroad will begin work Saturday at 7 a.m. During construction, the crossing will be closed day and night and all traffic detoured around the construction area. The detour will use McKinley Avenue and West Maple Street.

The project is scheduled to wrap up Sunday, June 9 but due to unforeseen circumstances or inclement weather, the project may be delayed.

Motorists are asked to avoid the area and use alternate routes.

Officials apologize for any inconvenience the closure may cause and thank the public for their understanding and cooperation.
