The Pocatello Police Department needs you to help slap a set of shackles on hunger in our community.

Officers with the Pocatello Police Department are teaming up with Outer Limits Fun Zone for their second annual “Handcuff Hunger” canned food drive for The Idaho Foodbank, Wednesday, October 30 from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. During the event, Outer Limits Fun Zone, located at 1800 Garrett Way, will provide donators one game token for every can donated, up to 20 cans. For each can over 20, the donator will receive a ticket which enters them into a raffle for prizes from local businesses. The donated cans must not expire until after January 2020.

“The holidays are rapidly approaching and Handcuff Hunger is a chance to help people who are in need this season,” said Chief Roger Schei. “Events like this are great opportunities for officers to serve the community. And, thank you to Outer Limits Fun Zone, our local businesses, and the community’s participation in making Handcuff Hunger possible. By working together, we can all have a positive impact on our community.”

The Pocatello Police Department is still seeking vendors to provide prizes for the event. If you would like to donate a raffle prize, please contact the department’s Community Services Division at 208-234-6100.
