Newly Elected Mayor and Council Members Look Forward to Service


Pocatellans cast their ballots this week and the winners of the 2017 election are weighing in.

Mayor Brian C. Blad was reelected to his third term while Heidi Adamson was elected to City Council Seat #4, Linda Leeuwrik to Seat #5, and Richard W. "Rick" Cheatum to Seat #6.

“I am humbled that the community reelected me and am grateful for the opportunity to serve. I will continue to serve to the best of my ability and am proud to represent the citizens of Pocatello.”

Councilwoman Heidi Adamson
“I want to thank everyone for the trust they’ve placed in me and I look forward to serving the citizens for the next four years. There are great things in store for Pocatello and I’m excited to be involved”

Councilwoman-elect Linda Leeuwrik
“I am thrilled to be elected and consider it an honor to serve the people of Pocatello. I am interested in looking for ways to be efficient in our spending and I’d also like to focus on strengthening relationships, particularly with Idaho State University and labor.”

“I’m looking forward to the opportunity that the citizens of Pocatello have given me. It will take some time to learn the needs of the City and I’m looking forward to working with the other Council members.”
