Olin Selected as Pocatello Mayor for a Day

An Alameda Middle School student will fill the Mayor for a Day post later this month.

November 29, Amber Olin will assume the role of the office and join Mayor Brian Blad in managing the day-to-day business of the City. Olin was selected by the school with a teacher saying she is “an outstanding future leader. She is a kind, confident student with many strengths. She is an excellent peer tutor, patiently helping students work through misunderstandings and questions.”

During the school year, a new Mayor for a Day is chosen from the city’s middle and high schools once a month. The selection is made by the school and a different school is represented each month.
