City Employees Pledge $25,351.60 to United Way

Employees with the City of Pocatello have opened their wallets for the United Way of Southeastern Idaho.

Through the group’s annual campaign, employees donated $25,351.60. Workers were able to target their gift to an area of focus like “Education,” “Financial Stability,” “Health,” or “Cradle to Career Partnership.” They were also given the option to have the United Way pass along the donation to a specific 501 (c) 3 nonprofit or allow the United Way to send it on to where the group identifies the greatest need.

“A heart-felt thank you to the employees of the City of Pocatello,” said Kristy Heinz, Pocatello Regional Airport Administrative Assistant and Campaign Committee Member. “Their generosity and commitment to improving the lives of fellow Idahoans are truly appreciated. Also, thank you to United Way for providing such an easy and effective way for our employees to help their communities.”

Last year, the City of Pocatello conducted the fourth largest campaign in seven Southeastern Idaho counties. Over the last three years, employees have pledged nearly $75,000 to the annual campaign.

Employees were able to make the donation as a one-time gift or through bi-weekly payroll deductions.
