Construction Complete on Lower Ross Park Restroom

Lower Ross Park has a new amenity in its ranks.

Recently, Parks Department crews completed construction on a new, permanent restroom at the park. The facility features two family/American’s With Disabilities Act accessible restrooms, along with separate multi-station men’s and women’s areas.

“I’d like to commend the staff at the Parks Department,” said John Banks, Parks and Recreation Director. “Through their combined knowledge and building expertise, crews were able to do a fantastic job in completing the structure. The new restroom addresses a significant parks system need, while at the same time, we were able to realize cost savings for taxpayers by doing the work in-house.”

The total cost of the new restroom building was $167,791, with materials accounting for $105,189 and Parks Dept. staff labor $62,602.

The new facility is located near the Ross Park Aquatic Complex, skatepark, and horseshoe pits.
