Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter Donates Outdoor Awning to Animal Services

Thanks to a gift from The Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter, the shelter’s dogs will, hopefully, have their days made in the shade.

Recently, the group donated an aluminum awning. The structure spans over 50 feet and provides a break from the elements for five of the shelter’s outdoor dog runs.

“During the summer months, prospective pet parents can play with dogs in the shade or if there’s a little rain or snow, they’ll still be able to take the pups outside and get to know them under the cover of the awning,” said Danielle Garcia, Pocatello Animal Services Director. “A dog’s personality really shows through when they’re outside and we thank the Friends for helping these wonderful animals be able to put their best paw forward.”

The Friends of the Pocatello Animal Shelter is a 501(c)(3) organization.
