Pocatello is at the top in the Gem State when it comes to kicking off your career.

In a new study by career search and information website Zippia, the Gate City was named the “Best City to Start Your Career” in Idaho. Zippia compared more than 830 cities across the United States using data from the U.S. Census Bureau on population, unemployment, cost of living, and percent of population being a millennial.

“Pocatello has a lot to offer those seeking employment,” said Mayor Brian Blad “We are excited to be working with existing and new businesses to offer a variety of career opportunities and we’re happy to be recognized nationally again for the variety of opportunities available in our area.”

The new ranking comes after financial technology company SmartAsset named Pocatello as one of the top cities in the country for career opportunities.
