A Holy Spirit Catholic School student will be Mayor for a Day November 2.

Eighth-grader Marko Milovanovic’s term will begin at 8:30 a.m. and conclude around 1 p.m. During his time in office he will be meeting with City of Pocatello officials and joining Mayor Brian Blad at the Pocatello-Chubbuck Chamber of Commerce’s General Membership meeting.

Milovanovic was selected after writing a letter where he expressed his interest about local government and what a Mayor does in the community.

The city’s middle and high schools choose a new Mayor for a Day once a month. The school makes the selection and a different school is represented each month.
