  1. Mountain Bike Fun Race - Ladies Only

    September 27, 2018, 6:30 PM @ Centennial Park

    Come ride for fun or challenge in these free races on Thursdays throughout the summer. You can pre-register online then grab your number at the trailhead and go out as hard or easy as you want. Races are ‘sprint’ distances, averaging around 5-7 miles. Trails are well marked and you might discover a new favorite. All skill levels are welcome just be on time.

  2. Thor Mountain Obstacle Race

    September 29, 2018, All Day @ East Fork Mink Creek Nordic Center

    THOR is a 10K mountain obstacle race. Face down 20 obstacles as you run or hike the 6.2 mile course on the East Mink Creek Nordic Ski trails. Test your balance, strength, endurance, agility and mental toughness. You can race as a team of 4 or as a solo participant. Race start times are staggered through the morning until 1p.m. Start times are offered based on who is registered first. Obstacles usually have a hard way and an easier way and if you complete every hard obstacle you are awarded THOR status.

  1. D-League Basketball Registration

    September 4, 2018 - October 5, 2018 @ Community Recreation Center

    This is a competitive basketball league divided into two leagues: 5th/6th and 7th/8th. Games are played at the middle schools. This league will play at the same time of year as the girl’s Rec. basketball program plays. Coaches put their own teams together. All practice times in School District #25 facilities are reserved by our department.

  2. Junior Jazz Girls Basketball Registration

    September 4, 2018 - September 28, 2018 @ Community Recreation Center

    The Utah Jazz Kids Basketball Program is open to all 3rd-8th Grade kids in the School District #25 area. Teams are organized by grade level and coached by volunteer coaches. Volunteers are needed to help this program run smoothly. Anyone contemplating coaching should contact the Teams Sports office early so they can get organized and set up with practice times before they are all taken. Games will be played at the four Pocatello Middle Schools on Saturdays in November and December (for girls) and February and March (for boys). Games begin at 8:30am and will continue until 5pm most Saturdays. Games may be scheduled on weekday evening if necessary. Player registration fee includes the uniform but not the team picture. All practice times in School District facilities are reserved by our department.

  3. Session 1: Future Hoopers Begins

    September 29, 2018, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM @ Community Recreation Center

    This program is for 6 and 7-year-old boys and girls, and focuses on introducing the participants to basketball and the development of basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball, while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents. The program focuses on teaching children and their parents dribbling/ball handling, shooting, passing/catching, and running/agility. Each week the exercises become increasingly difficult as the class progresses and the children show improvement. There are no designated teams or coaches. Parents are required to participate and assist with their child. The class is 45 minutes long once a week for 5 weeks and is limited 8 participants per class session. Class will be held at the Community Rec. Center 144 Wilson. Cost for the class is $40.00. All participants will be provided a basketball that they will keep.
