  1. Discounted Nordic Center Annual Passes Available

    October 1, 2019 - October 31, 2019 @ East Fork Mink Creek Nordic Center

    Discounted annual passes for the East Fork Mink Creek Nordic Center are available at the Community Recreation Center (144 Wilson Ave) during the month of October. Located just 7 miles outside of Pocatello, East Mink Creek Nordic Center is a quality ski and snowshoe area. It hosts approximately 20K of groomed classic and skate trails. The Nordic Center is operated by the City of Pocatello through a special use permit with the United States Forest Service and through volunteer services of the Pocatello Cross-Country Ski Foundation (PXCSF).     Indoor climbing is much easier for kids to understand. The holds are bigger and kinder to the fingers and the environment is controlled. Kids learn to boulder, climb routes and win prizes during games.

  1. Adult Men's Basketball League Registration

    October 9, 2019 - November 1, 2019 @ Community Recreation Center

    The Adult Basketball League begins play in mid-November. The league is scheduled to play on a Monday through Thursday basis. Games times are 7:30pm, 8:30pm and 9:30pm at the Middle Schools. Play is governed by the rules of the National Federation of High Schools with special modifications for our league. Fees are due before the first scheduled game. Organizational captain meetings are held October 9th and 16th at 5pm at the Community Recreation Center, 144 Wilson. For more information, call Gary Carlson at 208-232-0082.

Trick or treat around the zoo and look out for our haunted staff who will be presenting BOOtacular activities! Dress to impress and enter our costume contest: individual and group prizes! This is a not-so-spooky, safe trick-or-treating atmosphere, and this year’s theme is “Jack O’ Lantern Jubilee”. Have a fanging ghoul time!

    Zoo Idaho closes for the 2019 season on Sunday, October 27. The zoo will be open from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. that day and then close until next spring, except for special openings including Wild Winter Weekends in December.
