  1. Camp Mink Creek

    June 1, 2019, 12:00 PM - June 4, 2019, 9:00 PM @ East Fork Mink Creek Nordic Center

    Middle school kids come to Camp Mink Creek for 4 days and 3 nights of classic summer camp activities. All food is provided, staff is on site 24 hours a day and days are packed with crafts, skill building, team building and confidence building activities. Camp ends with a variety show and hot dog roast that families are invited to. Campers must provide their own bedding, clothing, and hygiene gear. Cost includes food, activities and transportation to all activities. A camp manual will be provided to all registered participants several weeks in advance that lists the schedule, packing list, rules, and expectations. Older campers who age out after 2019 may be able to return in 2020 as junior counselors. (Ages: Students entering 6th - 8th Grade)

    This is a 6-on-6 passing league played on a 100-year football field. Teams play eight league games on Mondays and Wednesdays. All players must sign a roster before participating. Three officials are provided per game.

  2. Session 2: Future Hoopers Begins

    June 1, 2019, 11:00 AM - 11:45 AM @ Community Recreation Center

    This program is for 6 and 7-year-old boys and girls, and focuses on introducing the participants to basketball and the development of basic motor skills necessary to play organized basketball, while they work one-on-one and spend quality time with their parents. The program focuses on teaching children and their parents dribbling/ball handling, shooting, passing/catching, and running/agility. Each week the exercises become increasingly difficult as the class progresses and the children show improvement. There are no designated teams or coaches. Parents are required to participate and assist with their child. The class is 45 minutes long once a week for 5 weeks and is limited to 8 participants per class session. Class will be held at the Community Rec. Center 144 Wilson. Basketballs will be provided.
